Being a subspecies endemic to Afghanistan, I would have used names such as isis, binladeni, allahulakbari....etc ;-)

I thinks they're under private settings. What's the point of uploading videos to You Tube if the settings are 'private', so no-one can actually watch them? That seems to defeat the whope purpose of uploading the videos in the first place. Adam. Adam,
Some people use Youtube as a safe place where to store videos ;-) hence setting them as private....just like an extended hard disk.

Hello sve Welcome to the forum. Your setup and display are absolutely brilliant. Well done. It is a pity that you stopped collecting. Just in case you would like to fine tune the name of the Satyrinae species, I suggest that you visit my website: www.satyrinae.yolasite.com/Museums would love to have a well organized collection. I suggest that you talk to the local Museum curators of the country you currently live in even though you will arouse the major interest from Bulgarian curators. Just be careful how to handle the apollo species since it is protected by CITES. Jonathan

Hi guys,
I shall be working to put all the information about the Satyrinae of the Western Palearctic in a book, a project which will definitely take years to conclude.
However I was wondering what size should a home/study book be? I know that a field guide should be handy so that it can be easy to carry but a book which is meant to be used exclusively at home can be of any size.
So I decided to setup a small poll to get a feel of your preferences. My intention is to depict life-size colour plates, distributional maps, a lot of text and a few other ideas which are still brewing in my mind. Your preferences would be highly appreciated.
According to research I did amongst publishers, these are the standard/normal sizes.
The quotes books besides each size is just to give you an approximate idea of the size of the book.

If the insect is not protected by CITES and manages to leave India, you will not have any problems in Europe. But the Indian guy trying to export the insect might end up in trouble in India if he is caught without the necessary permits.

I bought a fishing net from Lidl which comes with a telescopic handle for Eur9. The handle can be locked at any position, it is made of sturdy aluminium to be able to lift heavy fish, can reach a height of 2.5 metres and is easily collapsible just by pushing a kind of button. When collapsed it is just 70cms tall. Obviously I just had to change the fishing net with a butterfly net ;-)
