Nepidae possibly Ranatra sp. Its a waterscorpion. Its tail is used to breathe i tginks rather than sting. Watch out for its mouth or proboscis tho as it might be able to sting. Im not exactly sure on that.

that's a ground longicorn. Rather difficult to find actually. Where in NSW did you find this?

This is absolutely amazing. What dedication and drive. Can we see some of the specimens collected? Are captures recorded?

So what do you think it is love?
Cos its most certainly a beetle.
A rather poor photo though. My guess is that its a carrion beetle another good guess is a Tenebrionid.

A friend of mine saw this insect this morning. We're not really sure what it is. Can anyone help us identify it? Thank you ibb.co/drDjDbThat's a lovely carpenter bee. If youd like it further identified, you'll need to disclose your location.

That's half a funnelweb spider. Atrax sp... i wouldn't be holding it. Males of Atrax robustus are deadly to humans.

I see Benny de Groof is unfortunately closing his shop. The material I bought from him has been exactly as advertised. His grading on specimens was perfection. Oh no. Do we know why?

Plenty of purple ones out there. They are quick indeed, scurrying around in the tropical heat.

Correction. Its most definitely a Hemipteran in its early stages. But not at all the species which you suggest (Carpocoris purpureipennis).I too am unfamiliar with the European fauna, sorry. Altho i would think its in the genus Eurydema...
