Maybe try different bait at different locations. I was thinking this year i'll try 3 different types of bait, something like: animal feces, fermented fruits and rotten fish/shrimps. Then just place them at different locations along the road/in traps

This genus is pretty awesome! I wonder from your observation wollastoni, are these to be found in like undergrowth jungle habitat or are they usually canopy fliers? anyone know?

I got a 5m carbon fiber handle from paradox company in Poland. It works pretty well, but as mentioned before there are problems also
1. its pretty thick at the bottom where u are holding it 2. its 1,10m when fully folded 3. its not easy to handle when fully extended!

Your pictures are over 1mb because they are huge. I bet your pictures are something like 4000x2000px big. If you resize the pictures it will drop in mb. U can use something as simple as paint to resize your pics. Theres a button on the top menu in paint that says "resize". A popup box will appear, choose pixels and resize it. Very nice lycaenids btw

Hi Paul I'm not 100% sure but i think this is a moth species of genus Callidula. I caught something very similar in The Philippines some years ago

See topic title! but again Tingo Maria, Peru I looked at that genus but couldn't quite find a match, but maybe you're right!
EDIT: I think you might be right. Allthough my specimen looks more like the nominate ssp. rather than the one from Peru

Instead of creating another topic for one question i ask it here instead: i also have Papilio zagreus from Tingo Maria. Will this be ssp. chrysoxanthus? Thanks again
