Adam, thank you very much! I have a big request to you, if you have this work in Microsoft Word format, or can PDF send it to me emeil? I recently met a man who lives in Transbaikalia, but unfortunately he does not know the place called Taicri. We'll keep looking.

Friends! Today my colleague told me that Taicri is most likely in the coordinate range 51°51'08.3"N 104°53'41.6"E
51°38'44.9"N 103°43'37.8"E He will try to find out more precisely from people who made expeditions to Baikal.

If I understand correctly this is approximately near the western tip of Lake Baikal, not so far from Mondy but in the lowland. I await further news.

Somewhere in the area between Slyudyanka and Listvyanka where the Angara River originates. I'll try to find out more precisely.

That makes sense, but it's immediately east of the co-ordinates you gave me. I seem to remember someone reporting collecting machaon along the shore of Lake Baikal in the exact area marked in this box several years ago.

Check the top right specimen on the 2nd photo at the top of page 7 in this thread, from Maritui, east of Kultuk with a damaged right hindwing. This specimen comes from the marked area.

Adam, I think he looks a lot like the samples Sayer gives us in his description. And it looks like the wingspan in the illustration matches your pattern. I hope that today or tomorrow we will learn more about the whereabouts of Taichi.

Presumably specimens from southeast of Lake Baikal in Buryatia near Ulan-Ude should be the same subspecies. I have papered specimens from there too.
