It is not indowings (which is a famous seller) but " indoinsects ". I have not received any proof of permits for the moment. I have deleted one of his post which was a sale offer. For @alexandkamul, I'd like to know more about your alexandrae farm. Is it an official PNG program of raising this species ? If so, it would be a good news for the survival of this species. PS : Danny and Peter < feel free to use your mod powers when you think one post doesn't respect ICF rules. I have moderated my post somewhat. I quire aware the Papuan locals breed O. alexandrae and release them. Here is hoping that this is what the picture is and we get more details. In my considered opinion the butterfly being held is dead. I fear these two were never released - other than to someone who purchased them on the black market

I likewise agree with Rich's remarks about those specimens. Only the one appears reasonably legitimate. The other two look more like urvilleanus. I was always under the impression that miokensis for the most part has some measure of green present with the blue overall; along with it's specific locale. I know that if I was in the market for one than the specimen I'd want would have to have that green/blue coloration along with proper location data. Otherwise, my cash would stay close at hand. trehopr1 and Rich - you are both wise beyond your years!!

Thank God for that, Delias is going to be exciting again. Love the biotope tease. A towering tree with mistletoe in the canopy. Cuscus - dinner most nights! Attachments:

This must be the ultimate tease for Delias enthusiasts; altitude only, but no location. No doubt the news will be broken in due course, but if it is a new taxon we'll probably have to wait for the paper to be published first. Glad to hear that you changed your mind about hanging up your net permanently. You know it makes sense! Adam. Thanks Adam! I will share more info ASAP. In the meantime I have added the habitat photo which yesterday I overlooked attaching.

Hi Peter
I'll try and make time to set a decent series. I'm almost certain that your pair from the Schleinitz Mtns were not collected by me. I think I may be able to shed some light on their provenance. I'll PM you sometime soon. In my opinion they appear to have suffered some discoloration from being exposed to extreme heat and/or excessive moisture. Perhaps during storage or when on the setting board (e.g. rapid hot drying).
Cheers
Laurie

Ignore the two stragglers at the bottom left hand corner not long off the boards and about to go where they belong.

From Fiji, Vanuatu & Samoa with a couple from Australia. Still many more to mount! Apologies for the photo quality - in a rush, as always!
