During May and June 1914 while collecting on the Southern Coast of Biak at Bosnik, Antwerp Pratt and his son's Felix and Charles discovered a Delias Shangri-La, among the six new Delias species flying here were two of the holy Grail's of collectors bosnikiana and maudei and much less rare Delias talboti shown here. As the rarer Bosnik Delias passed into legend, D. talboti was still frequent on dealers lists but then for reasons unknown became unobtainable. D. talboti male. Flight worn but I am pleased to have acquired it for my collection.

A beautiful ex pupae looking specimen, rare in Delias of a female talboti which was captured in 2015 and bought at EntoModena.
