Another "new old" specimen received from a friend's collection: an aberrant Graphium codrus celebensis. There is no trace of the usual green band. The verso is completely plain brown with no pattern. As usual with these melanic Graphium the forewing apical spot is still present although very small in both these superb specimens. The sheen on Danny's male is really obvious in the photo, so must be even better in real life.

Yes, the sheen is very apparent - I checked to see whether it has the same amount where the green band should be, and it does.
