After a conversation with Danny Burke I was informed that this was a very special butterfly indeed and that very few females of this ssp have ever been seen, it is from Imatong Mountains in Uganda. I believe that Jean-Pierre Lequeux who is stationed in that part of the world has seen very few also.

Yes, the female mackinnoni is ssp equatoriana, recently described from S. Sudan (Imatong Mts) and N. Uganda. There are only a few females known. The female paradoxa telesicles is also quite a goodie!
