They do age well when they have been looked after, and often despite not being looked after.

I think there is something really special about owning specimens caught by famous collectors and there are some splendid examples here. Congratulations to those that have them. Here hoping we see more of them in this thread.

I need to do some photos, but I'm reminded by radusho's nice Parnassius specimens that I already have photos of a few historic Parnassius. This pair was collected by the famous British collector/explorer/spy F.M. Bailey in the early 1930s. I'm calling them P. charltonius eisnerianus, although I'm not certain if the subspecies is correct.
