So, no real luck IDing the Neptis laeta group... maybe you can help with these Leptosia? Main issues I'm dealing with: 1) Most of these species are usually characterized by a FW subapical black spot. That spot is lacking in several of the subspecies found in NE Congo. 2) The ranges of the various subspecies is unclear to me. 3) Bernardi's revisions (and I would assume descriptions of the subspecies) aren't available online (at least I can't find them), and d'Abrera doesn't include photos of the relevant subspecies. Note that these are all larger than Leptosia nupta specimens I've caught , and have significantly more extensive apical patches. They may all be Leptosia hybrida somereni, but Leptosia alcesta pseudonuptilla seems to be also a distinct possibility. I'd group the first 2 together and the last 2 together, if it weren't for the fact that I caught the middle two at the same location on the same day. And I'd group them all together if it weren't for the rather bold black HW margin of the last specimen, and for the distinctly different shape of the black apical patch which isn't as curved as in the first 2 specimens. I have no idea if any of you can help decipher this, but, as always, I appreciate any help that can be given. Tom

I've received good response, although not definitive, on Facebook.
It seems that according to current published knowledge I have, likely, 3 L. hybrida somereni, with the last being L. wigginsi. (Torben Larsen's opinion) The other opinion being that the first 2 are possibly L. medusa, the 3rd L. hybrida somereni, and the last being L. wigginsi. (I like this explanation because it fits the differences I see when looking at the various specimens I've caught.)

Tom - which FB group is this? Sounds like one with which I'm not familiar, but would like to join!
