A super new article on the online journal ' dispar ' about the discovery of the historical British butterfly collection of three notable entomologists of the Bree family in a garage in Coventry in the Midlands of England.. W.T. Bree and his son William Bree were famous 19th century English entomologist's who gave us accounts of the golden era of butterfly collecting. This article is by the Professional entomologist, Michael Mead-Briggs who now owns this historical collection. Michael is a descendant of William Thomas Bree and his GGG uncle was another well known English collector C.A. Briggs. The article here. www.dispar.org/reference.php?id=103I have also made a reference to this historical collection in my thread on Maculinea arion here. collector-secret.proboards.com/thread/197/maculinea-arion-britain-ssp-eutyphronA box from the Historical Bree collection, containing Lycaenidae with extinct British M. arion and C. semiargus specimens.
