Hi,
I wanted to introduce myself before I post in the identification thread.
Brief history so you know why I'm here seeking help and will try to be as concise as possible
In august of this year, Fleamaggedon, as we've been calling it, had begun. It was an infestation on whole other level with supposed fleas so we thought. I'm pretty sure it was fleas to some extent, although both my cats are vet script treated as wel as both where a flea collar well before so we are bit baffled at the severity.
From day one and utilizing my own pest treatments and seeing hercules looking type fleas, I had suspected then that we had another bug or bugs at issue. All are small bugs. Nothing like water bugs, roaches, or the like.
Fast forwarding to today, many treatments later, including 6 professional sprayings set up by my apartment complex managers, the fleas have been minimized GREATLY but we're still having issues or I'm still having issues. The fleas and whatever other bug or bugs just love me. We've all been bit but they love to swarm me and hpuse inside my clothes everyday, in my hair, and can feel the creepy crawlies esp at night and it's been maddening to say the least. I now truly believe we had and have more than one bug infestation. It's not bed bugs thankfully as we've never seen tell tale signs or bed bugs.
The exterminators never fully inspected our apartment despite the front office saying they have and supposedly it revealed nothing. It's been a living hell here esp for me.
We are moving out on Dec 8th into a much nicer apartment with full amenitiesin unit including full size washer and dryer. All fabric type objects in current apt have been thrown out, couches, curtains, fake plants, 99% of clothing -- don't get me started on this one and these mother effers just don't die as the water and dryers at various laundrymats just don't get hot enough.
Leaving out many details, this has been my ordeal and living hell these past 4 months.
I'll be heading over to the identification thread in hopes someone can confirm i.d. of small dead bug that fell off one of my cats. Flea, black carpet beetle, another bug entirely?
It's great meeting everyone and thank you in advance for any guidance and help
Angie
