Very nice video, thank you for sharing it. And from my experience in Asia, it is not easy to see Arhopala with open wings like these ones. Most of the time, I see them in the forest with closed wings, and their wings launch some purple flashes in the dark woods when they fly.

I don't recall I have seen Arhopala species mud pudding in Thailand or Laos, very interesting.

Thank you wollastoni and Paul K for your interesting comments. Yes usually Arhopala species stays with its wings closed. This species starts to come to water in late autumn. Here in Japan it gets colder towards October and November and this species seems to need sunlight and moisture. During the summer time, it never opens its wings. Mokky
