Veins scales are rubbed off Well I would consider it as a nice A1- and I like this kind of quality. Personally I would kill for a B- Delias neeltje...

I did not even get close look at it just at the tips, but yes now as you point it it is A2 repaired. Of course in case of rear species or for some record it is good specimen anyway .

Very good eye indeed africaone ! One must be VERY careful and downright scrutinizing of any rare or seldom offered species. Probably best to only purchase such items when you can actually see it for yourself and examine it personally ! Opportunities like that are available at insect fairs and in trades made between collectors. One may come away from an EBay deal feeling very much deflated by what you receive AND very much taken.....

trehopr1 > it is written "some repairs" in the item description + ebay enables you to zoom 5 time the real size of the specimen. Before investing money in it, people will see those repairs.

Am I missing something, by this specimens (item) condition, it does not mention anything? I must say after using ebay's excellent zoom that is a poor repair job, the seller has used a different colour, a non matching blue.

Must be English ebay, cannot see that I certainly do not mind a repaired specimen but you need the matching pieces of wing, while the blue might not show up much now, you would notice it time and time again in your collection. Still it will sell for an excellent price, after all it is a great rarity.

Why not simply buy an A2 or damaged specimen and then repair it -- or not -- yourself?

I have not seen any A2 specimens for sale, unless you know of a good source for them. The only other females I have seen were two A1 specimens at different Juvisy fairs.

I have never repaired a butterfly, I am too afraid to damage it even more. If any of you could make a youtube tutorial, it could be interesting!
