Thumbling through one of my many Lepi books the other day I saw a picture of a Papilio antonio; a really nice black/white number from the Philippines. Does anyone have a series we could see. Even a singular nice one would do. Could you tell us something about it?

Here is a snapshot of my drawer of Papilio antonio: There are two subspecies, ssp. antonio (type locality Mindanao) and subspecies negrosiana (type locality Negros) Its closest relative is the mainland SE Asian species Papilio noblei, which has no subspecies Both of these species belong to subgenus Araminta otherwise known as the demolion group. They are not very closely related to Papilio polytes or helenus. I have to go now, but I hope this is interesting. Adam.
