I’ll be in Medellin for a few days, and just wanted to ask if anybody here knows something interesting entomologically in that area? A good seller/trader that I should visit? Or a good spot to look at some butterflies? I am not planning to catch butterflies since I don’t want to go through any hassle with permits, and if I buy something, I’d have the seller ship it for me to my home country, so as to avoid any problems. Looking forward to any nice ideas!

O Facebook: Fredy Montero Abril... Te invito ademas a ver mi pagina web: www.butterfliesofcolombia.com

After several trips to Colombia with him, I guarantee that Fredy is an excellent guide for butterflies. With remarkable knowledge of biotopes everywhere in the country, from the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta in the North to Puerto Narino on the Amazon river, from El Choco in the western part to the Llanos in the East. Does Fredy speak English ? Is collecting possible under his supervision and guidance or photography only?
