Today I've witnessed my first bilateral form of Cicindela campestris ! It is said to be rare ! I love picturing Cicindela which are splendid insects but not that easy to come close to. Typical Cicindela campestris are green like this one, that I met near Tressé in Brittany. IMG_2288 by opequin, sur Flickr In the same path, I see a splendid specimen with a turquoise left elytra and a green right elytra. First time I met such a bilateral form ! Strange, only the elytra is bilateral.
