Hi all,
I have just started a collection I have my specimens in a riker mount style display. I know i should keep moth balls in the case to prevent inffestations that will hurt my bugs. The only deal i have with this is...i hate the smell of moth balls and the odor is always in the air in my office. Also i have some live specimens in here that i dont really like exposing to the fumes.
What do u think? any alternatives that will keep my specimens safe and not smell like an attic? lol
Thanks,
Frank

Constant observation is always best to ovoid infestation. As you have a small collection just put the complete riker mount in the freezer. Put the riker mount in a plastic bag then in the freezer for three days leave out for one day then back in for one day. If you do this occasionally there will be no need for moth balls. Terry.
