Another big Euploea from Phi Phi, but without any blue sheen, Euploea modesta modesta.
It seems rarer on the island and I found it only inside the jungle and not in open areas like the other Euploea.

Did you also collect on Phi Phi? I've been many times on Koh Tao but with so many tourist everywhere ( mostly from Europe ) I hesitated to reach for the net. Great place by the way for snorkeling and diving. For the change can enjoy many corals and fish.

I have collected both on Koh Tao and Koh Phi Phi. Tourists don't care about collectors there and locals are welcoming.
Some areas are "protected" though.

Cool ! Next time I go there I will go to higher elevations and do some collecting. Sure locals are welcome as long as you bring $$$ there those islands would not existing the way they are if we do not go there. Thailand by not restricting collecting same way like other southeast Asian countries get for sure more collectors and entomologist visiting here. By the way Bangkok is the most visited city in the world.
