I am learning to frame insects for display on my walls.
I am using UV protective glass (conservation clear) to reduce damage from light.
I know this is important for things like butterflies. I am doing it with leaf insects also.
However, is this helpful for beetles as well?
I would assume so, but this is an added expense over regular glass.
I would appreciate your help with this.

I would store all specimens in dark room or cabinets. I am not Coleopterist but have few specimens from around the world where I have collecting and I keep them all in drawers inside the cabinets with the doors. I am sure that the UV will do some demage even with the UV protected glass over long period of time. If you want to have nice display on the wall just use common species which can be easily replaced when damaged by light.
