Nearly two years ago on May 16, 2016 I asked on the thread (http://collector-secret.proboards.com/thread/992/dorcus-titanus-collecting-methods) how to collect and find these beetles. Shortly after during a weekend collecting trip I made an exciting discovery, while climbing a hill to a tree abundant with Charaxes and Apartura I observed the butterflies drinking the trees sap, and upon closer inspection I saw a large Dorcus beetle keeping them company. After that day I noted the tree appearance and shortly after I found an area that had the same tree planted in abundance some years ago. At this spot not only did I collect Dorcus, but I also found many other types of beetles along with butterflies I had not previously found.
