It's been a very long time I want to have proper cabinets for my collection. I was looking to buy everywhere but companies from Poland would not ship to Canada due to oversize and shipment could be expensive otherwise. Local cabinet makers killed me with the cost proposed ( $850-1600 per 10 drawer cabinet ! , without drawers of course ). I had no choice but constructed them by my self, the big problem was doing this whole thing in 500sqft one bedroom apartment, it was a mess but finally I've got what I wanted. The set is combine with 9 units which can be arrange in different configuration in case the space will change in the future. First three cabinets I made with wooden sliders but I found out they are not so smooth and space wise not economical so next six cabinets I use aluminium sliders which were a hell to fabricate but worth it. The drawers slide with no problems and I could fit 11 drawers instead of 10 with no cabinet size increased. Here is my final product. Set with wooden sliders. I have room to store 96 drawers and I will be working on my Thai specimens. Now is long overdue time to fly south . Paul PS. Merry Christmas to everyone

Beautifully executed! I envy your ability to do fine construction like this. I'm barely capable of putting a cat flap in the porch door, myself.
Your doing the work in a small apartment for some reason reminds me of a friend who once rebuilt a Porsche engine in his dining room. I don't think his wife was ever the same after that...
Merry Christmas, jh

I am so happy with those cabinets I thought I would share this with ICF friendsĀ . Paul PS It was a nightmare for three months and I had to send my wife to Thailand one month earlier in order for me to finish itĀ .
