Hello, The top specimen is Papilio aegeus. Is the bottom one also P. aegeus??? Those red eyespots and the lack of turquoise FW markings makes me question this. Specimen is from Papua New Guinea.

Yes these both are P. aegeus ormenus males. These are quite variable, and in PNG often lack the subapical forewing band. The red eyespots can be present or absent, the bottom one has a well developed spot, whereas the upper specimen doesn't have one at all. I can understand why you might think these are not the same.
