Does anyone know what species this is ? It came out of an old collection and was sold by my dealer. It was put in a riker for shipping purposes (safety) I was told. It was mentioned it was somewhat pricey and not often seen. The subject matter at the time changed so I never got the name or where it was from. Looked kind of cool with those beautiful hindwings which were reminiscent of P. elwesi and P. maraho

It is Byasa dasarada-male I suppose but for subspecies ID we shall wait for Adam. It is not uncommon species in northern Thailand, but it could be rare in other parts of Asia.

Yes, Paul is correct, it is a male Byasa dasarada. I guess it is probably ssp. barata from N Thailand, but it is not possible to be 100% certain without seeing the underside and data. There is some overlap between ssp. barata and dasarada, which are generally somewhat similar.
