I found it at light in Chiang Mai, Thailand, 22 Dec 2016. At first I thought it is micro moth, but it is something else , any idea ? It is about 14mm size.

Just want to add when at rest it has wings spread and up about 45 angle. I would excluded Hemiptera though . The abdomen is also very short ( not broken off if one could think, antenna must be very reduced too as almost invisible )

Let me first state that Hemiptera is an insect ORDER -- not a family. Leafhoppers belong to the family Cicadellidae which are in the order Homoptera. It looks to me Paul like you have something more in the Superfamily Fulgoroidea. Planthoppers have been lumped togather into this huge superfamily which at present contains some 12,000+ described species in 20 different families. I feel confident your curious find is in one of those 20 plant hopper families. But, I cannot venture to say any specific one as I have no specialized knowledge on that superfamily or on Southeast Asian fauna.
