I just stumbled upon this article and video: motherboard.vice.com/read/meet-the-cyborg-beetles-real-insects-that-are-controlled-like-robotsAt first I thought it is one of those poorly made up clickbait articles that you can see everywhere, but I was really amazed when I saw that short video about the work of Dr. Hirotaka Sato from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. They can really control the beetle movement of the leg and the wings! It is just fascinating. Has anyone ever seen this in reality in Singapore or know Dr. Sato? Here the video on youtube:

Impressive, but poor Mecynorrhina ! Maybe in few years, I will catch Delias males with a remote controlled female flying near my net ! Thanks for sharing the video !
