I'm fairly certain this is a species of Falcuna, I'm not certain which one though... Caught 4/VII/Nebobongo, Haut-Uele, DRC

could it be Falcuna libyssa Perhaps... the images I've seen of Falcuna libyssa are quite similar to the series of specimens I caught, but the range of F. libyssa only brings it as far east as Cameroon... so, I assume it's something else... mind you there's a few species that I've caught that don't have reported ranges extending as far east as where I found them. The following Falcuna species have ranges extending into NE DRCongo: Falcuna dorotheaeFalcuna hollandi (It's not this one. I've also caught this species) Falcuna iturinaFalcuna kasaiFalcuna margarita (I found one image purporting to be this species, it's similar to what I've found, but the HW markings in that photo are less extensive.) Falcuna orientalis (This species has similar markings, but the HW markings on the nominate ssp. are more extensive and more-or-less connected. I haven't found a photo for the ssp. F. o. bwamba which is found in my area.) Falcuna overlaeti (Only known from the holotype, and it is similar to F. hollandi.) Falcuna synesia (Not this. I've compared my specimens with an image of the holotype.) So I guess that leaves me with 5 likely possibilities...

I've received secondary confirmation that this is most likely F. kasai.
(I've update the title of the thread accordingly... hope I've done that correctly.)

Steve confirms it is a Falcuna kasai, probably a female !
