I think the females from this areas are some of the most beautiful butterflies in the world. Please show some of your rarity. (Also ssp., forms, abberations)

There are indeed some beautiful females in this part of the world! Here we have a unique presentation showcasing some Brazilian leps.
Pro tip: Brazilian women are excellent butterfly hunters, and might give you a "leg up" on tracking down some of the more elusive species

Well I guess the rarest Brazilian female papilio would be the female of that male Papilio aegeus s.sp braziliensis (I guess) in that case, but for me it would be the female bedoci, hell you never see males.

I noticed the aegeus first thing, Rich - too funny Here's a photo of my Eurytides iphitas...presumed extinct, collected c. 1937. I have a pair of P. vercingetorix (1929, coll. Le Moult) but don't have a photo on hand...will have to do one. e iphitas by D B, on Flickr

Isn't that the lady who does butterfly tours in the forest? I'm pretty sure the ALF did a tour with her and JeanMarc posted a link to some photos. Adam.

They are indeed one in the same, Adam. What an athlete. You haven't lived till you've seen a male prepona kicked out of the sky by a flying roundhouse. Eccentric, but effective.

sombra,
The mind boggles! I see your grammar is still affected by whatever she proverbially kicked you with, despite your editing (it's "one and the same"), but the shock of seeing a Prepona being caught gymnastically must be a memory you will cherish.
Adam.

You think so? I'm guessing that she has really strong magnets in her fingertips that hold the butterfly case to the microwave door.
That's what I'm thinking.... no way is this photo-chopped...

Couldn't resist, thanks for being good sports Considering the context, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. After a recent addition to my collection, I will now be moving fully digital. Maybe some of you will have the chance to visit my island sanctuary and do some virtual exploring, if you can put up with the tour guides! There will be men as well, to accomodate all tastes
