My nephew has this bug project and i cannot seem to figure out what this is. Black with brown spots. Looks like it has brown eyes kinda like a fly's. Seems like it has wings. Pretty sure it has 8 legs but it may only be 6 and 2 like grabber arms. Any help is greatly appreciated. Have many more to come but it will only let me post 1 picture at a time. Attachment Deleted

anyone know what this one is? kind of a yellow with a blueish tint. think its some kind if butterfly but may be a moth. located in akron ohio Attachment Deleted

The butterfly looks like some kind of Colias species but I hope you do not mind me saying the quality of your images is quite poor for ID purposes. Better quality images would be needed for smaller insects and as Tom mentioned with location.

Yes, I agree, the first photo must be a species of 'water bug' of order Hemiptera.

The butterfly is a female Colias philodice.
