I agree that Parnassius are very pleasant butterflies, together with being easy to spread compare to Hesperiidae for instance ... What I do not like in this group is the classification with far to many subspecies described that do not seem to show much differences ?

Radusho, I was just curious how many parnassius species & subspecies you have in your collection? You seem to be the resident authority on this group.

When I finished in 95, my collection was almost 4000 specimens of almost every taxa of ex-USSR and America, save Tibet and Himalaya, from where I had only a few. Since that time, I lost my sheer interest in them Parnassius focusing in the other fields
