Ha, ha, ha Sorry for laughing, but that's not a Delias, it is Prioneris thestylis. Here in Thailand we have two species of this genus, P. thestylis and P. philonome. They do look like Delias and maybe someone who knows more about Pieridae than me can explain whether these mimic Delias or resemble them for some other reason. Adam.

There is a mimicry ring around Delias belladonna species group, which are unpalatable.
Delias belladonna :
In this ring, you will find several Pieridae (Belenois, Prioneris...) but also some day-flying moths (Cyclosia,...).

I suspected that to be the case, but I wasn't certain about the unpalatability of Delias belladonna so didn't want to state it as 'fact' when I wasn't certain. Thank you for confirming it.
Adam.

The others I will try to figure out later. I am fairly certain that is what it is because it is from Biak and nothing on you website seems similar from there. It also says it is a rare species found in very few collections!?! So far I only have 5 delias.

You can post it and we'll confirm the ID. The "very few collections" comment may have been true at one time, but it's fairly easy to obtain nowadays. D. dohertyi also has another ssp (nominate) from Yapen.

Yes, that's it. If the data were incorrect, it could have been ornytion, for example.
