Can you tell us more about it ? Where was this picture taken in Romania and in which month of the year ? If I am not wrong, mnemosyne is a early season species. I have never seen mnemosyne myself.

I found it in the Apuseni Mountain, Alba Julia province at 500 meters above see level. The 20 th of may, you can see them flying in grassy open forests. This cloudy day made easier the photography.

Have you seen it?? Because I was said that apollo is extinct in Romania not yet, but heard some rumors .... this is why ... maybe if still here will take photo of this one too. Cosmin
