I'm no skipper expert either Peter, I have used the butterflies of France site for a lot of my identifications as I have quite a few various skippers that I collected many years ago but never truly identified them untill recently, though some not 100% sure still. It does resemble cirsii some what but as Michel say's that not recorded in his department and the hindwing markings are yellower and duller. I'll be interested to see what your friend has to say about it though.
Michel, I googled your location, to see where abouts in France you are for species distribution and I can't believe how close I was to you, albeit 20years ago, I stopped for a week at a camp site just south of Blois and collected in the Chambourd forest, fantastic place with the most amazing chateau.

I would love to pay you a visit at some point, I haven't been back to France for some time now, not left the U.K with having the rather larger slice of living reef in my living room, I don't like to leave the fish tank to long, to keep live corals healthy is a daily job of testing the water quality for all kinds of trace elements required for healthy growth, these trace elements need to be dosed by dropper to bring the water levels to the required level, iodine, strontium, magnesium, calcium are all essential for healthy growth. I've always planned to see how far I can take this tank towards a coral full mature reef by the time I was 50 years old and then scale it down to a fish only reef which requires less maintenance so a family member or friend can pop in to feed them and not worry about water quality so much, I'm 50 next August so in spring and summer of 2018 I hope to be having a couple of trips driving through France collecting specimens and livestock. I might have to pack my fishing gear as well, and pick up a nice French white wine on the way, though I think you'll have more knowledge on those Michel.

That was the reason why I have sold my reef tank when I was planing to travel to Thailand a lot. Beautiful hobby , but very time consuming and not cheap either.
