Another rare book :
George Talbot, the famous British entomologist, was fascinated by the genus Delias and he has published between 1928 and 1933 a Monograph of the genus Delias in six parts. It is a very impressive work with the description of dozens of new species and a "picture" of the knowledge of those times on this very interesting genus. Talbot descrbes the species, their hostplants, their early stages, their distribution and so on. Talbot was very well placed to write this book as he had access to the BMNH collection and to the Tring Museum collections (Tring Museum is Lord Rothschild's museum who was a devoted Delias collector and who financed the famous expeditions of Meek and Pratt brothers to New Guinea).
Today some parts are very hard to find and most of the Delias collectors are looking for a complete edition which are sometimes sold at a very high price.
After 10 years looking for it, I find an old complete series last year thanks to my good friend deliasfanatic and my other friend mygos has transformed it in this splendid state with the precious cover this book deserves.
Collecting the six parts of this book is as fun and as difficult as collecting Papuan Delias. Some parts are regularly sold on Abebooks, some are VERY hard to find.

That's a beautiful book ! Well done indeed. My hat's off to mygos on that 1st rate bookbinding job --- fantastic. And very considerate and nice of deliasfanatic in helping you locate those precious missing parts. I'm sure it is now the "gem" of your book collection.

I had the pleasure of seeing Olivier's wonderful monograph at Juvisy.
