Common when found , the nearly black and white Melanargia have sometimes special forms. One of them is form/aberration magdalenae. Can someone confirm if this one is a magdalenae ? The underside is nice.

ome magdalenae are very dark indeed, stunning ssp, yours look more like procida.

Although magdalenae is a true sspp with a complete different behaviour, the former from 'plebejus' is not a procida, but definitely an uncommon aberration. Very good catch. Xavier
