Hello!
My name is Sophia, I am organising an exhibition in London on the 14th-18th of September that will focus on insects, their social strategies and adaptability, and connect this to the social history of Camden Borough in London. This exhibition will be a display of both art works from local as well as international artists and a series of archive materials provided by the council to show alongside.
We have reached out to the local collection museum to borrow their entomology collection for display, however we would also like to involve private collectors as well as groups of entomology enthusiasts to display their insects in the show.
I am posting this thread to see whether anyone might me interested in loaning their collection to be displayed at the exhibition, this would be under the requirement of a loan, therefore we would not pay for the insects to keep, but will ship them back safely right when the show ends. If there is any damage to the material we will cover those costs and we also have insurance on the material and work shown at the exhibition.
I understand it might be a lot to ask, however it would be an amazing opportunity, we will organise and pay for shipping and will consult you on display methods beforehand to make sure that the specimens are well taken care of.
We will also credit you and your collection and can provide links for your websites etc. as we are expecting a big audience to attend the show, as well as children from schools coming for a field trip.
If you have a collection or part of a collection that you feel safe shipping to London for a week and would like it displayed to an audience please email sophiareinisch@gmail.com OR mariadragoi4@gmail.com.
Thank you so much,
Sophia
