Hello, What is this insect please ? It looks like a cockroach but it is more elongated. I saw another one like that who was jumping. (about 10cm vertical) I found two at evening. (different days) I live in the North of France. The insect on the photos is crushed, sorry for the insect lovers. ibb.co/QF7KLz6ibb.co/ZXfTZmbibb.co/sRsgfWBThanks for your answers!

Actually, I am not sure if he could jump because I have seen another insect jumping, maybe I confused between the two. Right, there is this one who jumps (but the first I saw jumping was bigger): ibb.co/sVyzc2mibb.co/5sQJyPpAnd this one, which I am not sure if he can finally: ibb.co/FspnqX9

The insect in ibb.co/sVyzc2m is a 'click beetle' (family Elateridae).I cannot see the others in your second post clearly enough and the smashed insect in your first post may be a cricket or a beetle, certainly not a cockroach. All of these seem absolutely harmless. Adam.

Alright, thanks for your answer!
Maybe this video could help you to identify the other insect? I put them two in a glass:
I'll do a better video later if this is not enough.

The larger one is a 'rove beetle' (family Staphylinidae), but I can't see the smaller one very well. It also seems to be a beetle. I am not a beetle expert in any way, and am also not familiar with French beetles at all, so would not want to guess what it is.
Adam.

The elongated jumping cockroach may be dangerous if you take them as a pest because they may be bite eye or harm your face during jumping. But if you take precautionary measure then you can lower this risk.
