thanks for the info. However, I have to make a bank robbery first as the prices will be enourmous. Most for the urania from Jamaica, I think.

Thank you very much mygos for informing us of this wonderful auction !
Although I " live across the pond" as the British saying goes and I hardly have the kind of money to meet the price estimations of the cases; I still find this to be one of the "finest looking" collections that I have seen offered.
The owner truly had a keen eye for especially nice specimens. His material is generally very well prepared throughout.
As an aesthetic collector (myself) with high standards; this collection stood out immediately... I am also amazed at the breadth and scope of this man's collection.
The owner seemingly had a wide-ranging interest in lepidoptera and yet his series were just large (enough) to provide an adequate sampling of any given species.
What a fine collection to be offered up for auction. I think it is a good thing to see the specimens go back into the hobby where others can enjoy them equally as much as the owner did for many many years to come.

Does this auction house publish 'prices realized'? If they do, I hope someone can post a link to the info in due course.

Yes, it would be very interesting to know what the boxes with Ornithoptera alexandrae,, Papilio homerus, Urania sloanus will realize. So when someone knows can they add them here please.

All these rarities are repaired, so I guess prices will probably not be as high as usually when A1 specimens are offered

Radusho, what are your thoughts on the Parnassius boxes?
Are they nice? overpriced? Anything of notoriety?
Would just like a specialists perspective...

It seems like data are virtually lacking on the bugs. It seems odd that people would find these valuable to me.
