I have had for some time this wonderful female example of one of the African long-tailed saturniids. I have read that there are currently only 3 recognized species in the genus Eudaemonia (formerly Eustera) but, I cannot seem to quite place which one it may be. Most photo's I've looked at are kind of lousy often showing discolored (faded) specimens or males. Can anyone help me with this ? Also, the data does not make sense to me as I think someone interpreted the data from the envelope incorrectly as it reads: Ganse R.C.I. (June 1998) Any ideas about this "Ganse" place or even the country?
