Hello there, would anyone be kind enough as to help identify what sort of insect this is? Location: Singapore Size: roughly 3mm in length I can't tell whether those club-like appendages appear to be it's antennae, or two front legs. It also has two eye-like patterns on its back near the bottom. Sorry if the picture is a bit dark!

Wow! That is one awesome looking Hemiptera (true bugs).
It's not a beetle, they are in the order Coleoptera. Hemiptera are a separate order of insects that contain bugs like squashbugs and box-elder bugs.
He's very cool!
