I saw last year thousands of L. achine in Dun/Auron (F-18).

Dun S/ Auron (F-18) is exactly the place to meet L. Achine, Forêt de Parnay is just nearby I spent my youth collecting in this area You will find quiet the same species as in Forêt de Chatillon (F-21) such as leminitis Populi, Euphydryas Maturna for example And there is an interesting limestone aerea just nearby call "La Périsse"

Merci Arnaud,
I have the feeling E. maturna disappeared in the early 2000's from the area between Maupioux, Varennes & Parnay.
As said, I have been last year, mid-June, but couldn't find any E. maturna, "only" thousands of L. achine, lots of Apatura: ilia + iris along with worn L. populi.
It would be interesting whether you can confirm recent maturna observation in the area.
Cheers, Xavier
