HI Adam - with your Lamproptera did you find the neonates and 1st instar rested UNDER the leaf. I take it the host was Illigera? I did them and as you say for such a tiny tot they love lots of area.
Adam do you have the OD for both meeki and inexpectatum? I have several inexpecatum but now there is a specimen heading my way from Santa Ysabel and from memory that pop war originally collected by Meek and yielded the first meeki's? I am just wanting to insure that the specimen I am receiving is the NOMINATE.
Cheers Greg
I have heard that the chap in Buin who heads up to the village were meeki is taken ONLY NETS THEM - the host - Lauraceae according to Ray is KNOWN but few of the locals wish to invest the time to look for larvae or to rear them for that matter. So also is true of mendana. I did antiphates in Pattaya - (Nong Nooch) and found them to be wonderfully adapted to their hostplant new growth coloration,. Wonderful salmon color.
All the best
- Cheers
