Hi,I found this insect on my balcony. I've never seen it before in my life, and neither have my family members. It looks like a caterpillar but its much larger, has no hair and has weird coloured spots. I would appreciate if someone told me what it is exactly.

Yes, it is the caterpillar of the moth family Sphingidae.

I think that this is Daphnis nerii.

Yes, I think so too. It looks like a larva that has finished eating and is searching for a place to pupate (they turn brown from bright green at this stage).
If you put it in a box with loose soil and dry leaves on top it will pupate there happily.
