Last weekend, A1 pair of this ssp have been sold for 910 Euro on japanese auction site. This ssp is rare in collections due to political situation, it is probably not so rare in nature. As far as I know specimens of this ssp are rally big.

It flies in North Korea, that is why it is so rare in collections.

There have been several polish expedition there in 70's and 80's. I have several specimens of parnassius from N Korea

Great specimen, even if 'topotype' has no nomenclatural significance ("a specimen from the type locality" - not forming part of the original type series) this particular specimen was collected one year before Bang-Haas published the description, so it may have been collected at the same time as the type series.
