What can I say that not been said about this superb book by Paul D. Brock except I agree its outstanding. 582 pages covering 2,100 insect species with over 2,700 colour photographs of a very high quality. The most complete all round guide on UK insects ever published. Reprinted 2015. Pisces publications.

2014, I have met the author, he is also a World stick insect authority, and has published several books on them. An expert entomologist and not even I believe one of those F.R.E.S, the old gentleman's club but a scientific associate of the BMNH.

Ah I see, I was wondering if it was an older book as you said "Reprinted 2015" above. Sounds like it was such a good book that it sold out straight away. I have been an FRES since 1979, I am glad that you regard me as an old gentleman. Adam.

I am sure the RES have many younger members such as yourself Adam. By "old" I meant the age of the society, 1833 onwards I believe.
