I very recently purchased a copy of this man's field guide from an EBay seller. It is in mint condition and I am very happy to have it. My copy is a 1971 version. It looks to me to be a very useful guide to generally identifying most African butterflies which most of us will likely ever find. I don't have much African material so it will suit me however, I would like to hear from other members and more importantly...what they may think of this field guide and its contents. Would anyone know anything about Mr. Williams, or what may have become of his (I'm sure) awesome collection? Thankyou.

I started at school with this to determine my first catchings in the garden or in the neighbour. It is completely outdated but I was happy to have it at this stime 35-40 years ago.
