Hi. Photobucket got all of my library back. . I just would like to try another image from the host site imgur. I am seeing it straight away. Testing. Please can you tell me if you see it straight away, if its taking time to upload, or not showing for you. I do not want to bore members to death with hosting problems/uploading but is best to get the best results for embedding images in the forum and not to have all your eggs in one basket so to speak. I chosen a nice image. In spite of all the glowing purple on the upperside of this butterfly this is my favourite photo of this species and my most difficult to obtain of the Purple Emperor, Apatura iris. It is gathering minerals above the base of a 90 foot monument known as the column in Savernake Forest. The image was difficult to get because I had to climb over 7 foot spiked railings by standing on my bike's saddle, getting back was achieved only with the greatest difficulty. I took this shot with my macro lens and as I took it looking up at the butterfly, one of those long lens would have been no good here.

I would say it was definitely worth all the effort to get that superb photo. Thanks for sharing it with us all.
Adam.

Thank you Adam. I thought for a while I was a prisoner of my own making. Another photographer found it highly amusing. I hate to think of what would have happened if I slipped. I guess that is why they put those super sharp spear shaped railings there in the first place to keep all out. If they were not there iris would be visiting limestone covered in graffiti and carved names.

No images again this morning on either Peter or Danny's posts, I take it photo bucket is doing more maintenance, Danny only uploaded a photo last night, Eurytides iphitas male, now there's just a little blue box.

This is a regularly weekly occurrence and this company has major issues they really need to get there act together they have gone from one of the top hosting companies to zero and I hate using them. At least you can see my images of my recent A. iris post, from imgur. The Photobucket service is just appalling .

I'm glad I switched to imgur when I did... but sincerely regret having initially recommended photobucket around here.
