What a fantastic book ! Even if I am not a Morpho collector, I had to purchase it : the plates, the distribution maps, the early stages and the very thorough articles make it a masterpiece !

I highly recommend it !

How does this book compare to the Blandin series? I have the latter, and since I only dabble in Morpho, I don't know that I need another comprehensive book when the Blandin series is quite recent.

There are big differences between our book and the Blandin's:

- The first is aimed at a specialist audience; the second has a more general scope.

- The first is organized systematically; the second in a biogeographical approach.

- The second is four times less expensive than the first.

- The book of Blandin of 2007; since then, new taxa have been described.

- We publish our book in a large amount of photos Morpho living in nature; which is not the case of the first book. And we give a lot of room to ethology (behavior)

- We have a complete and imposing chapter on the early stages; nothing like it in the 2007 publication. There are pictures of caterpillars unpublished to this day.

Accordingly, we consider that we are not competing with the work of Blandin; the approaches are different.
Note, however, that in terms of systematic we follow that of Blandin (2013) as outlined on this page:

Systematic Blandin seems most appropriate, based on the most recent and complete phylogenetic research. It is more consistent than that disclosed, for example, in Butterflies of America : www.butterfliesofamerica.com/L/t/Morpho_a.htm
