UV Light Traps Creation and Use?

Hello,
I have become interested in the collection of lepodoptera and UV light traps seem to be the way to go for many moths.
I have looked over some online resources but I still haven't been able to find any one way that is most effective or popular.
I also am interested in a trap that is portable and can be setup without poles or trees. Do designs for this kind trap exist or do people just design their own?
Are there some online resources that can guide me through?
Really just looking for advice or guidance from people who have used UV traps so I can sidestep common issues.
