Just for fun, no prizes but a pat on the back if you get it right for your book knowledge, which book does this B/W pic come from. Now that is what I call extreme butterfly collecting. If no one knows, I add some more clues.

The guy was collecting his Erebia during the 1950s when this book was published.

A whole book devoted to Butterfly collecting. Pages of collectors with nets in many habitats in many Countries. Butterfly collecting stories to go with the pictures, just wonderful. I did not know about this book until I saw it in the Library at the Bristol Museum. Quite cheap too, I ordered a copy on Amazon.

Oh, a great little book, fantastic reading, I was given this about 15 years or so ago, some great chapters especially Margaret E. Fountaine A butterfly summer in Asia Minor and The Lepidoptera of Bosnia and Montenegro by Mary de la B. Nicholl.

My copy arrived today, I know just by flicking through the book, it will become a firm favourite of mine. I hope those that have ordered it, enjoy yours as much. A refreshing change from modern butterfly books, especially from those produced in the UK today.
